ENDORYS.
APPLICATION DISCOVERY

Clinical questions
that guide the research.

Breast tissue assessment is the original motivation for Endorys. Additional research directions are evaluated against a defined clinical question, measurement feasibility and the evidence required for a specific intended use. No clinical indication has been selected or validated.

01 / FOUNDING RESEARCH FOCUS

Breast tissue research

Investigate the measurement requirements for repeatable acoustic characterization of tissue response.

Question to investigate
Can a consistent sample response be distinguished from changes in acquisition conditions and sensor geometry?
Evidence needed
A reproducible phantom baseline, followed by a defined intended use and an appropriately designed study with expert oversight and relevant approvals.
02 / CANDIDATE DIRECTION

Superficial tissue research

Accessible soft-tissue locations, including the forearm, are candidates for investigating contact, placement and motion as sources of measurement variation.

Question to investigate
How do contact, placement and motion affect measurement repeatability?
Evidence needed
A stable acoustic reference, an assessment of sensing depth and controls for confounding factors before any human study.
03 / LONGER-TERM CONCEPT

Procedural tissue assessment

Investigate whether localized tissue measurements could inform a defined decision within an existing clinical workflow.

Question to investigate
Which measurement would inform a specific clinical decision, and what performance would that decision require?
Evidence needed
Clinician-defined requirements, a validated sensing module and separate evaluations of safety, workflow integration and clinical performance.

The initial experiment uses a non-biological phantom. Cancer detection, screening, elasticity measurement, tomography, surgical guidance and therapeutic performance have not been established.

BROADER EXPLORATION

A common architecture.
Separate validation pathways.

Vascular assessment, procedural sensing, therapeutic acoustics and materials testing are separate research workstreams. Each requires its own measurement objectives, controls and validation; results from one application cannot establish performance in another.

RESEARCH COLLABORATION

Define the clinical question.

We invite clinical input on a specific decision, the current workflow and the evidence an additional tissue measurement would need to provide.
