ENDORYS.

Engineering deeper
tissue understanding.

An independent research and technology venture investigating controlled ultrasound, conformal sensing and calibrated analysis. Selected research is public; future commercial engineering undergoes separate release review.

Stage: pre-prototype research, supported by architecture documentation and synthetic software examples. Physical and clinical validation remain outstanding.

The measurement challenge

Acoustic coupling, sensor geometry and acquisition conditions can influence the recorded signal. Endorys investigates how to characterize these factors and distinguish their effects from sample response.

The proposed architecture

  • Matrix: a proposed conformal sensing interface with contact and geometry information.
  • Acquisition: controlled acoustic excitation, response capture and traceable acquisition metadata.
  • Insight: signal analysis and reconstruction research, with explicit calibration requirements and uncertainty.

Clinical research priorities

Breast tissue assessment is the original research motivation. Superficial tissue and procedural sensing are additional candidates. Each requires a defined clinical question, measurement feasibility assessment and separate validation. No clinical indication has been selected or validated.

No diagnostic accuracy, cancer detection, tomography, elasticity measurement or therapeutic benefit is claimed.

Development milestones

  1. Review the measurement protocol, controls and acceptance criteria.
  2. Run the Acoustic Reference Test (E001) to establish a reproducible acoustic baseline using a non-biological phantom.
  3. Evaluate the proposed sensing module against the conventional reference.
  4. Define one medical intended use and its quality, risk, usability and regulatory pathway.

Research collaboration

We invite independent acoustic protocol review and clinical input on a defined decision or workflow. An initial discussion should identify the question, required evidence and a feasible experimental contribution.

Selected architecture documentation, experimental plans and software examples are available in the research repository under explicit component licences.

Selective openness: future commercial engineering is reviewed separately before release. Existing public licence grants remain in force. Read the publication policy and website rights notice.
